Check Bomber Jacket
Product Details
The Check Bomber Jacket is the one piece that makes the rest of the outfit look deliberate. A fine black windowpane check woven into a deep red ground, cut into a short 80s blouson - high funnel collar that stands up on its own, dropped shoulders, a boxy body and a hem that stops right at the waist. Snap tabs at the cuffs let you close the sleeve down or leave it open. Wear it zipped to the chin over a knit, or open over a tee with straight jeans, and let the red do the talking.
- FabricWoven check with a soft, dry hand and enough body to hold the boxy shape instead of collapsing on you.
- CompositionCotton-blend shell with a smooth black lining. Non-stretch.
- FitOversized cropped bomber - dropped shoulders, roomy body, hem at the waist. True to size for the intended fit, size down for a closer one.
- FeelLight for a jacket, with a crisp structure - it layers over a knit without the bulk of a coat.
- DesignHigh funnel collar, full-length zip with a metal pull, dropped shoulder seams, snap-fastened cuff tabs, two slanted welt pockets, fully lined.
- ColourRed with a black windowpane check.
- PatternWoven, not printed - the check is made from the yarn itself, so it runs through the fabric and can't crack or fade off the surface.
- Model1.75 m tall, wearing a size S.
Care
- Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, inside out, with similar colours - and zip it up first so the slider can't catch the lining.
- Wash it on its own the first two times. Deep reds release dye early on and can mark a light load.
- Do not bleach and do not tumble dry - heat shrinks the shell and dulls the red. Reshape while damp and hang to dry, away from direct sunlight.
- Warm iron on the reverse, never directly on the zip tape or the snaps.
- Hang it on a wide hanger to keep the shoulder line and the stand of the collar.
Will it fit me?
Yes - the cut is boxy and oversized, so it sits on the body rather than gripping it. Available XS to 2XL.
- SizingThe measurements in the size guide are the garment laid flat, not your body - that's why the chest numbers look large. Take your usual size and you'll get the fit you see on the photos.
- Between sizes?Size down. The cut already has a lot of room built in, so the smaller size still falls loose and keeps a cleaner line. Use "Find my size" above and we'll tell you exactly which one to pick.
- Dropped shouldersThe shoulder seam is meant to sit down your arm, not on the bone - that's why the SHOULDER numbers look wide and the SLEEVE numbers look short. It's the cut, not a sizing error.
- It's croppedThe hem stops right at the waist, so it's made for mid and high-rise bottoms. Check the LENGTH column if you want to know exactly where it lands on you.
- LayeringThere's room for a jumper underneath in your usual size - the photos are shot over a knit. Go up one only if you want it over a hoodie.
- Cuff tabsThe snaps at each cuff close the sleeve down over your wrist or leave it open and wide. Small detail, but it's what lets the same jacket read sharp or slouchy.
- Still unsure? You're covered by free 30-day exchanges, so you can try it on at home with zero risk.

Loved by our customers
"the red is unreal"
its so much deeper in person, like a proper vintage red not a cheap bright one. throw it over a sweater and jeans and thats the whole outfit. im obsessed no notes
"The check is woven, not printed"
You can see the black lines running through the weave rather than sitting on top of it, and they show on the reverse too. Printed checks go faded and patchy at the folds. This one can't, because the pattern is the fabric.
"stopped three times in one day"
nobody believes the price. that's the review
"the little snaps on the cuffs"
i didnt notice them on the pictures but theres a tab with a popper on each sleeve so you can close the cuff down or leave it wide open. completly changes how it looks. such a good detail for the price
"saw it on my fyp and caved"
giving 80s in the best way. the collar standing up with the zip all the way to the chin is such a look. instant add to cart and zero regrets
"It's structured, not floppy"
The fabric has enough body to hold the boxy shape instead of collapsing on you, which is what separates this from every cheap check jacket I've owned. It keeps its line all day, even after being crushed in a car.
"the collar though"
zip it all the way up and you don't need a scarf. so good
"its fully lined inside"
theres a proper smooth black lining so it slides on over a knit instead of catching on everything. alot of jackets at this price are unlined and you feel it straight away. this one feels finished
"10/10 no notes"
wore it over a cream knit with straight jeans and felt so put together for zero effort. the short cut with high waisted jeans is just the correct proportion
"It goes with more than you'd think"
I hesitated because it's red, but the black check knocks the brightness back so it reads almost like a neutral. It works over cream, grey, black, denim. The only thing I'd avoid putting it with is another pattern.
"perfect in between weather"
too warm for a coat, too cold for a shirt. this is the answer
"the shape tho"
huge through the shoulders and then it stops right at your waist, so it makes your legs look a mile long. photos really dont do it justice, way better on
"came really fast"
recieved it in a week and it was packaged nicely, barely any creases. hung it up for a day and it was perfect. very happy with the whole thing
"The size finder was right"
I was between S and M and it told me S. Exactly right, and I still fit a jumper underneath. Worth knowing the chart is the jacket measured flat, not your body, so the chest numbers look huge until you realise that.
"my sister ordered one too"
she tried mine on once. that was enough
"2XL and it actually fits"
not me bracing for the shoulders to be tight and then theyre dropped so theres loads of room. the boxy cut is so forgiving. wearing it constantly since it came
"Worth every penny"
I've paid three times this for a jacket where the zip started sticking after a month. This one runs smoothly, the snaps are solid metal and the seams are clean inside. It's been worn constantly and still looks new.
"the chart is the jacket, not you"
dont panic at the chest numbers, its measured flat and the cut is oversized on purpose. take your usual size for the look on the photos, or size down for something closer. i went down one and love it
"Wash it on its own the first time"
It's a deep red, so it lets go of a bit of dye at the start like any strong colour does. Cold cycle, on its own, zipped up and inside out. After two washes it settled completely and the colour hasn't shifted at all.
"heads up its really cropped"
the hem stops right at your waistband so it really wants high or mid rise pants. with low rise jeans theres a gap and the proportion looks off. check the LENGTH column first and youll know exactly where it lands
"the sleeves read short at first"
because the shoulder seam sits down your arm, the sleeve measurement looks small on the chart but it lands right at the wrist once its on. i panicked for nothing. check the SLEEVE column and trust it
"It is a statement piece"
Worth being honest: this is a red check bomber, so it's the loudest thing in any outfit you wear it with. Keep everything else plain and it looks expensive. If you want a quiet jacket that disappears, this isn't it.
